Bayes is a technical recruitment practice for the built environment. The role we are hiring is to be based at Thailand in a Management capacity to lead our Practice as we develop our presence across markets we specialize in. Bayes is deliberately small - the Partner who joins is not joining an institution with a defined org chart and a protected territory. They are joining a practice that is still being shaped — with the expectation that they will have a hand in shaping it.
This is a 360-degree consulting function with a team leadership dimension layered on top. The consulting work does not diminish at Partner level. The expectation is that you remain an active biller while developing the practice around you.
Leadership — The responsibility is earned through demonstrated billing output and the readiness to build something beyond a personal desk. The distinction matters: this role requires someone who can perform as a practitioner and grow a team around their performance — not someone who manages instead of bills. You must be clear that we are developing a market from scratch; it carries more uncertainty and more ownership.
Business Development — owning and expanding a client portfolio through direct outreach, sustained relationship management, and market presence. At Partner level, this extends to securing retainer and exclusivity arrangements, not just contingency mandates.
Technical Search — maintaining a deep candidate network across passive and active profiles within Construction and Design disciplines. The network built over a career is as much the asset as the billings it produces.
Market Specialisation — staying current on project pipelines, procurement cycles, market movements, and talent conditions across the vertical. This intelligence is shared with the team, not held privately.
Team Development — recruiting, onboarding, and developing junior consultants within the vertical. The Partner is responsible for the billing output of the team, not only their own desk. A team that does not perform is a Partner problem, not a management problem.
Practice Building — contributing to the positioning, methodology, and standards of Bayes as a practice. This includes client delivery standards, candidate engagement approach, and the culture of the vertical.
The role is not for someone seeking a management title as a step away from billing. It is for someone whose billing performance has made the case for leadership — and who wants to build a team because they believe they can make others better, not because they are tired of the desk.
It requires genuine depth in the built environment — contractors, consultants, or developers, ideally across more than one discipline. It requires the judgment to distinguish between a mandate worth taking and one that will consume time without producing a result. And it requires the self-discipline to hold a personal billing standard while carrying responsibility for a team.
There is no ceiling on what the role can earn. There is also no commission where there is no billing, and no override where the team does not produce. The structure rewards contribution at every level — individual and collective — and does not reward title alone. Details of the compensation framework are shared at interview.
